Past and present popular science theatre performances

The use of theatre in the dissemination of natural sciences is often limited to creating a relationship between a professor and an assistant character who perform experiments together. Popular science theatre in the market tend to focus on explosions which immediately engage the audience, but do not necessarily hold their attention long enough to explain the science behind it. Such science shows are fun, but poor in academic content. Theatre as type of communication is suitable for addressing relationships, generally relationships between people. Science to the People – on the other hand – tells stories about relations among many forms of life.
Our project stands out in that everything that happens on stage is directly related to the scientific. It may be lacking in blows and gunpowder, but there is a burst of emotion in the scene: megalomania, madness, jealousy, fear and envy.
